October 16th- Step Together

You are in for a treat! With so many events, charitable functions and well deserving causes in our community we were hard pressed to create a run that would blow your socks off! Well….we did it! On October 16th, Fuzzy Friends Rescue and The Hall Steps Foundation will band together to bring you a one of a kind day of running with the BIG DOGS. When we say BIG DOGS we mean figuratively and literally.

Ryan and Sara Hall founded The Hall Steps Foundation in order to fund initiatives that tackle structural causes of poverty such as chronic lack of access to basic entitlements including clean water, shelter and physical security. Fuzzy Friends also strives to create better lives with clean water, shelter and physical security…with one difference…it’s for dogs and cats! It made sense, we needed to come together and make a difference for man and his best friend.

Who are Ryan and Sara Hall? Ryan is the fastest American marathoner on the road today with an American record in the half-marathon of 59:43 and a marathon personal best of 2:06:17 at the London Flora Marathon in 2008. Ryan will be running in Waco the week after competing at the Chicago Marathon. Sara, his wife, runs professionally for ASICS, and took the U.S. 5K Road Championships title in 2006 and the 5th Avenue Mile. Together, they initiated the Hall Steps to inspire others to tackle global problems in small steps.

Today, you can make a difference. Get running, get involved, get your company involved! This is your opportunity to feature your business in our marketing plan. This will include event website, event facebook entries, event t-shirts, radio promotion, published ads, runner bags for each participant and television promotion.

The racing community is highly educated and could be one of your best customers. In addition to the media response to your business, you will be lending a hand to TWO worthy causes. Both Fuzzy Friends Rescue and The Hall Steps Foundation work daily to meet the needs of people and animals. What more could you ask for?

Fuzzy Friends went to Italy and back!
Last night was our first Spay-ghetti Night benefiting our spay and neuter fund. Incredible Italian food provided by Rosati's, friends, dog and cat stories, great music- all for a great CAUSE! With a sell-out crowd of over 180, a fabulous silent auction, and fun raffle sales, we made $5,643.00!!!!!! THANK YOU to all of our supporters for making this event a HUGE success!
