Volunteer Opportunities

Any non-profit organization will tell you that it cannot survive without VOLUNTEER HELP. Even large Universities and Colleges could not survive without volunteers. You Will make a difference!

On-Site Animal Volunteering

Cats: cleaning litter boxes, feeding, and cleaning Cat Condos and room plus plenty of Tender Loving Care.

Dogs: Exercising and walking dogs each morning and afternoon, cleaning dog kennels, laundry and general maintenance.

Pet Care: Bathing and grooming the animals, loving and showing the animals they are loved.

Adoption Assistant: showing animals to potential adopter; additional training period required.

Foster Parents: Caring for young, pregnant or recovering animals; additional training period required. We are always in need of foster homes for young kittens, puppies and sometimes adult animals that are in need of extra care to rehabilitate them. If you are interested in fostering, please contact Fuzzy Friends and we can fax or e-mail you a Foster Care Agreement or you can stop by anytime and pick one up.

On-Site Office Volunteering

Computer: data entry.

Office Assistance: filing, answering telephones and general cleaning of inside of main facility, assist in bulk mailings, update lost and found bulletin board.

Handyman: help with upkeep of the facility with simple repairs- painting, woodwork, kennel repairs, etc.

Grounds Upkeep: need volunteers who have shredders, mowers, weed eaters, mowing and general ground maintenance.

Off-Site Volunteering

Special Events/Fundraisers

Barkin' Ball: assist with preparations and decorations. Event is New Year's Eve.

Telephone Assistance: follow-up calls to adopters and volunteers.

Education: presentations to schools, community groups and others.

Fund Raising: coordinate or assist with fund-raising. Training provided.

Newsletter Assistance: writing articles, desktop publishing, selling advertisement, distribution, assist in keeping mailing list current.
